
TOM SCHREIBER is a director, author and producer. His debut film Narren premiered at the Berlinale in 2003. In 2008 his film Dr. Alemán, which was shown and awarded at various international festivals, won the German Script Award. Through his production company 58Filme he produced several works, including the documentary Portraits deutscher Alkoholiker by Carolin Schmitz (Honorable Mention – Berlinale 2009), the feature film Das Zimmermädchen Lynn by Ingo Heab (Best Artistic Contribution and FIPRESCI Prize – Montreal 2014), and the experimental film Maison by Augustin Rebetez (Sydney Biennale 2014). In 2014 he was appointed professor for film at RheinMain University. Since 2022 he has been part of the Frankfurt-based production company Plotlessfilm. As a director he is currently in post-production on his new film Beautiful Souls. Tom Schreiber is a member of the German Film Academy.
