TOM SCHREIBER is a director, author, and producer. His debut film Narren premiered at the Berlinale in 2003. In 2008, his film Dr. Alemán, which was showcased and awarded at various international festivals, won the German Script Award. Through his production company, 58Filme, he produced several works, including the documentary Portraits deutscher Alkoholiker by Carolin Schmitz (Honourable Mention – Berlinale 2009), the feature film Das Zimmermädchen Lynn by Ingo Heab (Best Artistic Contribution and FIPRESCI Prize – Montreal 2014), and the experimental film Maison by Augustin Rebetez (Sydney Biennale 2014). In 2014, he was appointed as a professor for driercting at RheinMain University. Since 2022, he has been part of the Frankfurt-based production company Plotlessfilm. As a director, he is currently in post-production on his new film Beautiful Souls. Tom Schreiber is a member of the German Film Academy.
